Program Highlights
600 clients received multiple counseling sessions and classes in our clinic
More than 600 people were counseled in our in-house clinic. Besides counseling, CHAC also offers parent education classes that emphasize consistency, setting boundaries, strengthening relationships and understanding the repercussions of spending too much time on social media.
Parents launched healthy families through our programs for pre-school children and caregivers
More than 11,000 families participated in multi-cultural parenting classes, including classes specifically for fathers. Programs are presented in several languages, with an emphasis on positive parenting, family resources, skill building, early literacy & language, healthy lifestyles and community connection.
3200 students improved overall achievement – personally and academically
CHAC provided counseling to more than 3200 students in 34 schools, because stressed brains diminish learning capabilities and can result in behavioral issues. Teachers and all students benefit when the classroom is filled with fully engaged learners.
1200 students built positive relationships through our Social-Emotional Learning Program
More than 1200 students participated in the lunch time prevention programs that address bullying, healthy social skills and peer communications along with coping tools to deal with emotional stress.
Clients with substance abuse integrated healthier lifestyles
Our “Well -Within” program turns lives around. More than 100 teens, young adults and their families having substance abuse/misuse issues developed emotional resiliency and mindfulness skills whichallow for healthier choices and successful recoveries.
